Gujarat's Flagship Scheme
The Mukhyamantri Amrutam (MA)scheme, including the MA Vatsalya extension. This scheme is integrated with PMJAY (Ayushman Bharat), the scheme protects low wage, lower middle class families with catastrophic medical expenses through zero-cost, cashless treatment across the state at empaneled private hospitals or a government hospital.
Key Highlights & Financial Limits:
Coverage Limit: The scheme covers the expenses up to Rs. 5 lakhs per family per year on floater basis.
Extended specialized Cover: Organ transplants (kidney, liver, pancreas) receive a separate dedicated coverage allotment up to Rs. 5 lakh.
Travel Allowance: The scheme also provides travel allowance of Rs. 300 per hospitalization when admitted to empaneled network facility.
Medical Scope: The scheme covers over 1500 procedures across specialties and major organ failures.
Cashless Treatment Process:
Hospital Arrival: Visit an empanelled government hospital or empaneled private multi-specialty center.
MA / PM-JAY Kiosk Contact: Head and consult directly to the Ayushman Mitra / MA Helpdesk located near the reception.
Biometric Verification: Present your MA Card or PM-JAY Golden Card along with your Aadhaar card for fingerprint/iris authentication. This is a mandatory process.
Pre-Authorization: The hospital submits patient details online along with clinical documents. Pre-authorization approval is generated electronically after the details are submitted and approved.
Cashless Discharge & Travel Stipend: Complete treatment without paying out-of-pocket for diagnostics, bed charges, surgeries, or medicines, and collect the applicable travel allowance at discharge.
